CaseStack Honored for Emphasis on Sustainable Logistics

Company Recognized for Helping Customers Achieve Measurable Sustainability Goals

Santa Monica, Calif., Nov. 8, 2010 – CaseStack, a leading provider of outsourced logistics services focused on efficient warehousing and transportation, was awarded the 2010 Green Supply Chain Award by Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine for making sustainability a core business principle.

This is the second year in a row that CaseStack earned the magazine’s top sustainable honor. The 2010 Green Supply Chain Awards recognize companies making “green” an integral part of their supply chain strategy and work to achieve measurable sustainability goals for their customers and within their own operations. The magazine received 120 applications for the award.

The listing provides further evidence that CaseStack’s longtime emphasis on increasing efficiency within the supply chain is taking hold throughout the consumer packaged goods industry, said Dan Sanker, president and CEO of CaseStack.

Using advanced web-based technology, CaseStack’s Retailer Consolidation Program combines various products headed to the same retailer on one purchase order, shortening delivery times and reducing costs and damages by up to 50 percent. The program is sustainable by design; it reduces the frequency of less-than-truckload (LTL) orders, resulting in decreased greenhouse gas emissions.

CaseStack also promotes sustainability industry-wide by recognizing customers and key partners who promote “green” logistics. As part of the company’s annual Delivered Green and Green Carriers awards, CaseStack updates a Green Carrier Matrix, a listing of carriers who emphasize sustainable transportation with new initiatives and equipment. In addition, CaseStack customers who use those carriers more than 40 percent of the time in a calendar year are recognized as Delivered Green and receive a certificate.
